A booking calendar in FrequencyOS is more than 'pick a time.' It's the front door of your practice — it sets expectations, captures intake, and triggers the entire reminder sequence.
For your first calendar, keep the scope tight: one calendar, one service, one practitioner. You can multiply later.

Calendars → Create New Calendar → Personal Calendar
Fill in:
- Name (patient-facing — e.g. New Patient Consult — Dr. Smith)
- Duration (most practitioners overestimate — start with 50-min new-patient, 25-min follow-up)
- Buffer time (15-min after, minimum)
- Min notice (24h is the practical floor)
- Daily availability (be honest about your real working window)
The settings most people get wrong
- No buffer → back-to-back appointments → late running → no-shows downstream
- Min notice too short → patients book for 2 hours from now → you can't prep
- No intake form → you walk into the session blind
- Confirmation email turned off → 30%+ no-show rate
